Since training with Andrea, it became very apparent early on, that with some strength training/sports specific training, healthy weight loss and an injection of self belief.
Andrea had the potential to make a good rower, also being 6 foot 4 tall the hall marks for rowing potential were there.
After a little persuasion, she started a trial at Ipswich Rowing Club and soon fitted right in and got into a great groove. Improving her technique specifically for a rowing boat.
After a several successful trials, she has decided to join the development team to further improve her rowing talent. This was music to my ears.
As trainers, we strive to get the best out of whoever wants our help, Andrea not only worked her butt off to lose over 3 stone, which hugely improved her lifestyle and gave this opportunity a chance. She has worked so hard to improving poor eating choices too. I can not be prouded of her. Yes, we will help you, but you'll need to help yourselves too!
There are so many opportunities out there. If you really want them. Andrea set out to just feel better and lose weight. Now we are looking at rower competitions. Oh yeah! Which lead us look at a few british rowing records. I thought we would start lower in distance, targeting the 100m record for a 40-45 year old woman. Set at 17 seconds.
Yesterday Andrea did 17 seconds. The dream is on!! #workharddreambig #proudpt ... See more
